Canon Abilities
explosion
Katsuki secretes a nitroglycerin-like substance in the sweat from the palms of his hands, and he can ignite it on command to create explosions. The more sweat, the bigger the explosion. He's learned and pushed himself to accomplish a wide range of types of explosions and uses for his quirk, including flying through the air via repeated explosions, changing his trajectory and location quickly, using the shockwave as a shield, and of course fighting. He has a range of special attacks:
  • AP Shot Focused and directed blast with reduced area of impact but increased piercing power, such as through concrete.
  • Cluster Condensed explosions that are stronger and faster, released in a flurry of bursts. This technique can boost other moves, such as his speed and Howitzer Impact.
  • Explode-A-Pult A special grappling move to throw an opponent after building circular momentum through a series of one handed explosions.
  • Explosive Speed Backward directed explosions increase his speed on land or to allow him to fly.
  • Howitzer Impact His strongest move. Katsuki propels himself in the air in a circular motion to create a tornado. It builds up oxygen, and he releases a powerful explosion. It has been compared to an actual missile.
  • Land Mine Blast His grenade bracer is used as a land mine. It's what's on the tin.
  • Stun Grenade An explosion of light that acts like a stun grenade.
Role
physical attributes Mood-changing eyes that look like they are on fire, with the colors resembling that of various metals and compounds during flame tests. Wings made of tiny explosions that he can control the presence (and overall size) of via controlling the explosions within them. A halo that occasionally shows up to annoy him.

non-physical qualities Danger sense, danger sense, danger sense. A boost to his already high durability, strength, and pain tolerance.

reasoning As abrasive a personality as he has, Katsuki has aspired to be a hero his entire life and put in the hard work required academically, physically, and beyond to achieve it. He never gives up and believes in himself and his ability to win no matter what (and dislikes victories that are not earned). He risks his life to save people on a regular basis and stands by what it means to be a hero, while growing out of his bullying ways and gaining more respect for a wide range of people. He's temporarily died to save the world and even changed fate to save someone.

Of course he's a Legend. Legends are the heroes, the good guys, the winners. Myths are the villains, the bad guys, the losers. Familiars are the Extras. That's the attitude Katsuki will come in with, one that hasn't changed despite the complexities he's faced in his world. Instead, he will have to face them here and learn that with Roles, at least, it isn't so simple..
